Graduates earn 73 degrees, certificates from Gnomon School of Visual Effects


About 50.7 percent of the 73 degrees and certificates handed out by Gnomon School of Visual Effects in 2017-18 were to students in visual and performing arts programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private for-profit institution in Hollywood conferred 37 certificates in visual and performing arts programs.

But the single most popular program was for a certificate in general design and visual communications. Data shows the school gave out 37 certificates in general design and visual communications, followed by 35 certificates in animation, interactive technology, video graphics and special effects and 1 bachelor's degrees in animation, interactive technology, video graphics and special effects.

The school enrolled 416 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
