Graduates earn 479 degrees from Dominican University of California


About 38.4 percent of the 479 degrees and certificates handed out by Dominican University of California in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Rafael conferred 134 bachelor's degrees and 50 master's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in registered nursing/registered nurse. Data shows the school gave out 98 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse, followed by 54 bachelor's degrees in general business administration and management and 36 master's degrees in occupational therapy/therapist.

The university enrolled 1,744 students for 2017-18, including 1,302 in undergraduate programs and 442 in graduate programs.
