Graduates earn 380 degrees from Pacific Union College


About 48.4 percent of the 380 degrees and certificates handed out by Pacific Union College in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Angwin conferred 124 associate's degrees and 60 bachelor's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in registered nursing/registered nurse. Data shows the school gave out 86 associate's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse, followed by 54 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse and 36 bachelor's degrees in general business/commerce.

The college enrolled 1,229 students for 2017-18, including 1,226 in undergraduate programs and 3 in graduate programs.
