1.7 percent of Palomar College students played sports on university teams in 2016-2017


In 2016-2017, 1.7 percentage of Palomar College students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

Palomar College has a total student body of 23,848 students, of which 54 percent are men and 46 percent are women. Of these students, 263 men and 131 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 4.3 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at Palomar College with the most participants are football (80), soccer (43) and baseball (37).
