Academy of Art University enrolls 7,652 undergrads


At Academy of Art University, 61 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 57 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private for-profit institution in San Francisco enrolled 11,672 students in fall 2017, including 7,652 in undergraduate and 4,020 in graduate programs, data shows. 12.2 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

34 percent of undergraduates are residents of California, and 41 percent are residents of other states. 24 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (18 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (11 percent).
