48 percent of applicants to La Sierra University were admitted for fall 2017


At La Sierra University, 86 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 60 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Riverside enrolled 2,449 students in fall 2017, including 2,029 in undergraduate and 420 in graduate programs, data shows. 8.2 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

83 percent of undergraduates are residents of California, and 9 percent are residents of other states. 7 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Hispanic or Latino (47 percent) and Asian (15 percent).

The school admitted 48 percent of the 4,101 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 21 percent enrolled.
