The City of Marana has an opening on the Planning Commission, a seven-member advisory group that advises the Town Council on zoning and land development issues.
The appointee will serve until June 30, 2021.
Marana Planning Commission members also make recommendations regarding the Marana General Plan, which is an outline of the city's future development and vision. The commission also gives the Town Council guidance on applications for rezoning approvals, subdivision plats, development plans and conditional uses.
Applicants must be Marana residents and submit their applications by April 8. Applications will be in an active status for one year from the date it was received. Residents interested in submitting an application can visit http://marana.seamlessdocs.com/f/boards to submit the application online.
The Marana Planning Commission meets on the last Wednesday of every month at the Marana Municipal Complex, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Agendas are available on the Monday prior to each meeting and can be obtained at the Marana Development Services office.
